I believe in God, but not as one thing, not as an old man in the sky. I believe that what people call God is something in all of us. I believe that what Jesus and Mohammed and Buddha and all the rest said was right. It's just that the translations have gone wrong.

Some people got/get your point John...but a lot did not and would never agree...not even if it will emancipate them from the mental slavery they got themselves in since the day(s) they were born...

the subject matter i am avoiding to talk over is something that relates to religion.. This is a major branch of our life which human race are divided into different and conflicting beliefs.
As for the translation of the bible, i believe, some slightly deviated from the original hebrew (ols testament) and greek (new testament) manuscripts thus i recommend that to fully appreciate and understand the message of the holy scriptures, read them in different translations.
I appreciate your comment kuyanin...
I've been trying to avoid the topic too since it is quite sensitive and I'm afraid I might step on some people's toes...I just can't help it...
I have many friends with different beliefs and I must say not everyone would want his or her religion to be bashed on...
With all humility, I don't think that the Bible is the only Scripture to be pondered upon or read...there are other scriptures from other beliefs and in order to understand those beliefs we should read those stuff too...
Bottomline is...
Religion is relative...
Each person has a different translation of the scriptures whether they may be the Bible, Qu'ran, Talmud, Qaballah, etc...
"The translations have gone wrong..."
:D
P.S.
I remembered a quote my friend Odessa told me about...
"The more you know your religion, the more selfish you become."
How selfish have we become???
